]]>Michael Arenella, with a little help from a sharp-shooting cherub, invited us to join him at the Bogardus Mansion in Manhattan. The lively band, joined by chanteuse Tamar Korn, and a fabulous wooden floor, encouraged everyone to dance the night away. Tasty hors d'oeuvres were served, Bootlegger 21 NY vodka cocktails flowed, and guests could have their portrait taken at the Paper Moon photo booth. Roddy Caravella taught a beginner swing dance, and Gin Minsky and Pandora delighted us with eye catching performances. What a fabulous night!

With Fredo's tasty cocktails (thanks Bootlegger Vodka), and Michael Arenella's Dreamland Orchestra, it was as predicted: a festive and delightful evening, featuring just the right proportions of refined romance, spirited entertainment and a dash of holiday magic.
And it was a perfect venue and event for a surprise proposal - congratulations to the happy couple!
Fun performances by chanteuse and accordionist Nicole Renaud, Roddy Caravella and the Snowflake Follies, the Minsky Sisters, and Medianoche.

]]>On November 18 and 19, 2011, Gordon Webster and friends, with vocalist Naomi Uyama, recorded a CD live during Groove Juice Swing's weekend of workshops with world renowned swing instructors Steven Mitchell and Virginie Jensen. The event was held at the beautiful Harro East Ballroom in Rochester, NY and dancers came from far and wide to join the fun!
On Sunday Nov 20th, Steven and Virginie, together with Gordon and some of the band, conducted a musicality class, teaching dancers to go beyond executing moves and to listen and interpret the music, hear and take note of the various individual instruments, and above all, have fun with it (while never forgetting connection with the partner). They are absolutely phenomenal at teaching musicality!

For one unforgettable night, guests were invited to take part in a thrilling, interactive murder mystery theater game with the Dances of Vice Murder Mystery Theater beneath the majestic Neo-Gothic arches of Riverside Church.
They danced the night away to the murder ballads and hot jazz syncopations of Brian Carpenter’s Ghost Train Orchestra, and were treated to live performances by burlesque vixens Medianoche, Ms Tickle, The Flying Fox, as well as Sergio Segura and Matt Grubler of the Strictly Tango Dance Company.

Grammy winner Octavio Brunetti, solo and with his quartet, together with vocalist Hector Pablo Pereyra, aka "El Pulpo", provided musical entertainment. The incredibly talented Romina Levin and Claudio Villagra (both Forever Tango alumni), and the ingenious Macana Brothers, displayed tango at its best. Also performing were rising tango and burlesque star Medianoche, as well as Sergio Segura (our host) and members of his New York dance company Strictly Tango.
