This was my first attempt at birding with my better-sighted and patient friend Jim O'Leary, an awesome birding guide.
The heat and humidity (and gnats) were challenges until we got near the water in the shade of all the stunning trees - but what a wonderful experience.
Ninety percent of these bird shots were done at quite a distance ... how I wish I had a better zoom than my 70-200! But I can't wait to go again!
