David Ostwald's Louis Armstrong Eternity Band (also known as the Gully Low Jazz Band) has appeared nationally and internationally in varied settings - and is currently in the nineteenth year of its open-ended weekly Wednesday evening engagement at New York City's Birdland. The band has also been featured at Lincoln Center's Midsummer's Night Swing, the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, Jazz in July at the 92nd Street Y, Lionel Hampton's New Orleans-style funeral procession, and at four appearances at Scotland's Nairn International Jazz Festival.
Raised in Swarthmore, PA, this was tuba player David's debut concert with the Tri-State Jazz Society and it was fantastic! Joined on stage by Ricky Alexander (reeds), Danny Tobias (trumpet & Eb horn), Jim Fryer (trombone and euphonium), Alex Raderman (drums) and the legendary Vince Giordano (banjo and guitar), the band played to a very enthusiastic sold-out audience.
Keep up with the band

And consider joining the Tri-State Jazz Society - they present excellent vintage jazz concerts every month, attended by well over 100 people!
