This was the last weekend of the ninth annual Jazz Age Lawn Party, the quintessential outdoor celebration of this era in New York City.
Each year, Michael Arenella and his Dreamland Orchestra, together with a fabulous team of assistants, transforms a section of Governor's Island into a family-friendly Gatsby wonderland, with thousands of enthusiastic attendees dressed to impress, ready to take in the sights and sounds of the musical entertainment and performances. Vendors selling vintage stylings, St. Germain cocktails, and a veritable smorgasbord of tasty treats from a variety of vendors ensures delights to suit everyone.
I was pleased to be part of the photography team, snapping shots at one of the Paper Moon photo booths.
