I was thrilled to attend this fundraiser event for the Holy Trinity Neighborhood Center in the Upper East Side of Manhattan. It was an evening of fine whiskies from Chivas Regal, paired with tasty morsels, great company and conversation, in the Rectory, a J. Stewart Barney-designed landmark Manhattan home completed in 1899. Attendees were invited to wear their tartans (and a few did!), a bagpiper played and haggis was served - all in all, a perfect way to beat the winter chill and bring warmth to so many.
The Holy Trinity Neighborhood Center, among other things, provides nightly shelter to their homeless neighbors, serves the weekly Neighborhood Supper, a weekly lunch to senior neighbors, and delivers Thanksgiving dinners to homebound neighbors.
